Property Care
In 2010 Cheer’s Flower Gardens expanded to offer complete property care. We will mow, edge, and trim the lawn weekly as needed during the season, with leaf clean-up during the fall and winter. Walks, driveways, patios and shrub areas are blown off and clean up on a weekly basis. Shrubbery is cleaned of leaves and debris once per year, in early spring, more often if needed to keep your property clean. We can provide service for water features and any irrigation needs. Core aeration is done yearly and power raking when necessary.
Weed control consists of carefully timed pre-emergent herbicide applications, followed by contact herbicides as well as physical weed pulling. Our technicians are trained to recognize native wild flower seedlings and will leave these untouched in open areas at the approval of the property owner.
Lawn fertilization takes place 4 times per year. Our early spring formula is a fast green up, high in Iron. In late spring, we use a slow release formula to take it thru the summer. In late summer we also use slow release, and our fall fertilizer is lower nitrogen, balanced formula for root growth.
Lawn fungus and grubs are common pests in St. George lawns. Preventative cultural practices are always employed to prevent conditions conducive to fungus and grub infestations. Our staff is trained to recognize the early stages of an infestation. Chemical treatments are often necessary and are applied at an extra charge after consulting with the client. Sometimes proactive chemical treatments are recommended when an extensive outbreak is apparent in the area.
Irrigation problems are addressed and remedied on an individual basis. Cheer is QWEL certified and Dave is an irrigation guru. We have staff that is current and experienced with up and coming technologies.
